Kristi Beck, MD

Dr. Kristi Beck was raised in Washington, Connecticut. She graduated from Shepaug High School in 1989 \ (known then as Kristi Fitzherbert). She achieved Cum Laude honors from the University of Connecticut with a BA in Biology. Her studies then led her to Philadelphia, where she attended Jefferson Medical College. She remained in Philadelphia and completed her pediatrics residency at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. She started in private practice at Atrium Pediatrics in Marlton, New Jersey while her husband completed military service. She then joined Candlewood Valley Pediatrics in August 2004.

Dr. Beck is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is a member of the medical staff at New Milford Hospital, and Connecticut Children's Medical Center. She is a member of the Ethics Committee of New Milford Hospital, and is on the Board of Directors of Family & Children's Aid — a nonprofit organization that offers high quality and innovative programs and services to heal and support children and families in crisis. Dr. Beck enjoys caring for children of all ages and has particular interest in supporting breastfeeding, children with asthma and allergies, and obesity prevention. Dr. Beck repairs lacerations (using sutures or Dermabond) in the office. She is also enjoying her new role teaching general pediatrics to medical students from Ross and University of Vermont medical schools.

Dr. Kristi Beck lives in New Milford with her husband, Dr. Jonathan Beck, and their two daughters. She enjoys skiing, boating, hiking (geocaching), and traveling.
